FAQs
How does the urine test kit work?
The urine test kit detects glucose, protein, ketones, and pH levels in your urine. Follow the provided instructions to collect a urine sample, dip the cotton swab into the urine, add the sample on the strip reaction pad and scan the strip using the UROQR mobile application.
Can a high pH (alkaline) in urine impact the outcomes of protein test results?
An alkaline urine can produce inaccurate positive results. Elevated pH levels may be influenced by factors such as medication, a vegetarian diet, or prolonged storage of urine. Leaving the test strip in urine for an extended period, using certain cleaning products for the urine container, and certain medications or medical treatments can also contribute to false-positive outcomes. Additionally, the presence of blood or high bilirubin levels in the urine may lead to misleading test results.
Can I urinate directly on the strip?
To prevent strip damage, it is advised not to urinate directly on urine test strips. Instead, use the swab provided in the test kit and take the mid stream urine sample followed by adding sample on test strip. Urinating directly on the strip can cause strip damage, potentially affecting the accuracy of the results.
How long do I have to wait to read the results?
Waiting time is 30sec to get the results
How should the urine sample be collected for testing?
For accurate urinalysis results, adhere to the following guidelines when collecting urine using the 'Clean Catch' method:
1. Use the swab provided in the test kit.
2. Ensure that your hands and genital area are clean before taking the test.
3. Collect midstream urine for the most representative sample via swab.
4. Transfer the sample from the swab to the test strip.
5. Open the application and scan the test strip.
Why is protein measured in urine, and what does it signify?
Protein in urine may indicate kidney issues. Persistent protein presence requires medical attention to assess kidney function and overall health.
Can medications affect test results?
Some medications may influence test outcomes. Inform your healthcare provider about any medications you are taking for accurate interpretation.
When should I seek medical advice based on test results?
Consult a healthcare professional if you observe abnormal results, persistent symptoms, or if you have concerns about your health. They can provide accurate diagnosis and guidance tailored to your individual situation.
